John's educational background is marked by his graduation from St. John's University, a stepping stone to his future endeavors. His passion for the performing arts was evident from an early age, as he penned his first one-act play, "A Wild Card Like Deuces," which premiered at the Linhart Theater in the summer of 1995.
This milestone marked the beginning of a prolific career in filmmaking, as John went on to write and direct the feature film "Fenced In." This critically acclaimed work told a gripping tale of criminal life in Little Italy and the Lower East Side during the 1980s, with John himself taking on an acting role.
From 2002 to 2005, John partnered with Moxie Films, a production company dedicated to nurturing socially relevant documentary projects. During his tenure, he had the privilege of mentoring several projects, one of which won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004.
John's creative endeavors extend beyond the realm of filmmaking. He was a member of the Stupida Boyz Improv Group, whose energetic performances captivated audiences in NYC and ran for a remarkable 14 weeks at the Clemente Theater in the Lower East Side.
In addition to his improv work, John has also honed his skills as a stand-up comedian, taking the stage at esteemed comedy clubs such as the Gotham Comedy Club, Caroline's, and the Comic Strip.
