Person Biography:
Born in Sweden, Mr. Liedgren embarked on a journey that would shape his early career, commencing with the completion of his studies in philosophy at a university. He then pursued officer's training at the Swedish Navy School of Intelligence, which laid the foundation for his subsequent career path.
As a management consultant, Mr. Liedgren's professional journey took him to Microsoft Scandinavia, where he was one of the first five employees at the European Headquarters in Paris. His work with the software giant involved conducting corporate strategies and negotiations, a role that continued at the Headquarters in Redmond.
In 1998, Mr. Liedgren left Microsoft to explore new opportunities in consulting and media start-ups, film, and TV. As an investor, advisor, and/or CEO, he worked with over 15 ventures, serving on the board of publicly traded companies in the US and Europe. His clients included prominent brands such as MTV, BBC, Nike, Michelin, Budweiser, Coke, Xbox, BMW, Showtime, HBO, Warner Brothers, and Ford.
As a writer and director, Mr. Liedgren has had a prolific career, including work on the European political drama-series "The Commission" and numerous commercials, branded entertainment projects, music videos, and feature films. His current projects include three feature films: "Warmuffin", "The Silence of Our Friends", and "House of Briegl". He is also working on a "Feliniesque" rap-video and an original drama series created by him for TV, recently purchased by BBC One in the UK.
Throughout his career, Mr. Liedgren's creative work has been recognized with numerous awards from esteemed institutions such as Sundance, Slamdance, Sedona Film Festival, Waterfront Film Festival, NW Filmforum, AdCritic, and the Museum of Television and Film.
In his personal life, Mr. Liedgren resides in Seattle with his two sons, maintaining a relatively balanced lifestyle.
