Joelle's writing career began in advertising, where she crafted award-winning campaigns for prominent brands such as In-N-Out Burger, Kleenex, and Lexus. She then transitioned to screenwriting, penning several romantic comedies and family telefilms, including the Hallmark Channel's Paris, Wine and Romance. Her filmography also includes Love on the Vines and Diagnosis Delicious, which aired on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, as well as Win Lose or Love and Change of Heart for PixLTV, and Reluctant Nanny on the Lifetime Movie Network. Currently, she is working on a film for the Hallmark Channel's Countdown To Christmas. Her theatrical features include Ninja Kid, produced by Warren Zide, and an animated musical feature in development with Studio Gale in Korea.
As an experienced animation writer, Joelle has contributed to several notable series, including Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Ben 10: Omniverse, DC Super Hero Girls, and LEGO Friends. She also created the adult animated series Superslackers for 420TV.
In addition to her animation work, Joelle has written comics for Blizzard, DC, Marvel, and Dynamite Entertainment. She has also written graphic novels for IDW/Lion Forge Comics, including reboots of the NBC classic shows Saved By the Bell and Punky Brewster. Furthermore, she has written several video games.
Joelle's educational background includes a degree from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a graduate degree from the Warner Bros. Sitcom Writers Workshop. She is also the Best Screenplay winner at the La Femme Film Festival.
