Joe Finfera, a multifaceted individual with a career spanning over three decades, has made a significant impact in various fields. Born on September 20, 1968, in Baltimore, Maryland, he graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1991.
Before venturing into the entertainment industry, Finfera began his career in the fitness industry, competing in bodybuilding and winning the AAU Mr. Maryland Novice short division in 1993. This achievement led to a career in fitness modeling, with appearances on the cover of The Landmark Calendar "Image Is" in 1993 and numerous fitness magazines and posters, including Men's Workout and Men's Exercise.
Finfera's success in fitness modeling culminated in his appearance in the fitness book The Complete Book of Abs, which was sold in Barnes & Noble stores across America for over 20 years. He continued his fitness modeling career until 2006, appearing in the "Man & Machine Calendar".
After completing his education, Finfera moved to New York City and enrolled in The Herbert Berghof Acting Studio, where he studied with renowned instructors Joseph Daly and Lenore Harris. During his time in New York, he performed in various Off-off Broadway theater productions, including "Suburbia" and "365 days".
Finfera's television career began in 1992 with an appearance on the MTV show "You Wrote You Watch It", hosted by Jon Stewart. He has since had numerous walk-on roles in popular soap operas, including "One Life to Live", "Guiding Light", "Days of Our Lives", and "General Hospital". He has also worked on numerous commercials for prominent brands such as Bank of America, Nike, Heineken Beer, and Powerball.
In the early 2000s, Finfera guest-starred on three episodes of the NBC sitcom "Jesse", starring Christina Applegate. His recent notable roles include playing Mr. Desmond in the Lifetime movie series "Crazy Love, Social Media Meltdown" in 2019, Detective Jarvis in the Critics' Choice-nominated show "Betrayed" in 2020, and a series regular on the Lifetime Movie Network Series "Keeping Up With The Joneses" in 2022, alongside Vivica A Fox, Ted McGinley, and Michael Pare'.
