Jody, a 2006 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles' Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting Program, embarked on a illustrious career in the entertainment industry. Prior to his academic pursuits, Jody contributed to the groundbreaking 1990s television series "Inside / Outside The Beltway".
As a director, Jody's horror film "In The Closet" gained international recognition, being showcased at festivals worldwide and earning a nomination for the 2008 IRIS Prize. Furthermore, he penned the 2009 science fiction feature "Heatwave" ("City on Fire" in some markets) for Regent Entertainment.
In addition to his writing and directing endeavors, Jody co-produced the award-winning feature film "Judas Kiss" in 2011. His passion for the entertainment industry led him to become one of the founding members of Bent-Con, the Los Angeles LGBT Genre convention, in 2010. He subsequently rose to the position of Vice-President of Bent-Con in 2012.
Jody's most recent accomplishment is the direction and writing of his first feature film, the mystery-thriller "The Dark Place", which is slated to premiere in 2014. Interestingly, Jody's background as a former therapist and social worker often leaves him questioning the differences between the Hollywood he knows and the psych units he once visited.
