John Owen Conway Orton, a renowned writer and director of the silver screen, came into this world in the bustling metropolis of London, England, United Kingdom, all the way back in the year 1889.

As a creative force to be reckoned with, Orton left an indelible mark on the film industry, with a plethora of projects under his belt, including the 1931 thriller "The Limping Man", the 1930 adventure "Windjammer", and the 1929 drama "The Celestial City".
