Jimmy Heck, a former semi-pro soccer player, began his sports career playing for the San Francisco Vikings before moving to Hollywood, California. It was only about four months after his relocation that he landed speaking roles in not one, but two feature film projects, "Redefining Normal" and "Murder at Random", which were cast by film producer Anthony Bruce.
Heck's journey in the entertainment industry began with studying acting at the renowned Howard Fine Studio in Los Angeles. A young man of both German and Italian descent, he was a Student Body President at his alma mater, Junipero Serra High School, from where he graduated in 2003.
He went on to graduate with a BA degree in Theatre Arts, with a minor in Legal Studies, from the University of California, Santa Cruz in May 2007. During his time at UC Santa Cruz, he appeared in several stage productions. Heck is the son of Dianne and John Heckenberg and has four sisters and an older brother.
