Biography

Jim, a native of Alberta, Canada, embarked on an extraordinary journey in the world of extreme equine competition at the tender age of 15. As an Outrider on the World Professional Chuckwagon Association circuit, he would go on to accumulate an impressive five World Titles, four Calgary Stampede Titles, and numerous other accolades over the course of his 20-year career.

Jim's passion for horses led him to make his acting debut in the Japanese epic film Heaven and Earth, released in 1990. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, as he retired from his riding lifestyle in 1997 and relocated to Vancouver to pursue a full-time acting career.

The transition proved to be a successful one, as Jim quickly landed roles in a variety of westerns, including Shanghai Noon in 2000, Peacemakers in 2003, Texas Rangers in 2001, and many others. Over the years, he has expanded his repertoire to include roles outside of the western genre, with recurring parts on Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital in 2004, Smallville in 2001, and a starring role opposite Alan Cumming in the festival award-winning film Bad Blood in 2005.

In addition to his acting career, Jim is a dedicated practitioner of Yoga and the Alexander Technique, and currently resides in Vancouver, Canada.
