Biography

Jim Hunter, fondly referred to as "Jungle Jim", is a retired Canadian alpine ski racing legend who proudly represented his country at two Winter Olympic Games, specifically in 1972 and 1976. His impressive career also saw him claim a bronze medal at the 1972 World Championships. Notably, he was an esteemed member of the renowned Canadian Men's Alpine Ski Team, affectionately known as the "Crazy Canucks", and is widely regarded as the original Crazy Canuck.

Hunter joined the Canadian Men's Alpine Ski Team in 1970, and it was during this time that he earned the nickname "Jungle Jim" due to his bold and aggressive skiing style that left a lasting impression on the slopes.
