Jim Cirile is a multi-talented individual residing in Los Angeles, having previously called New York home. He holds a unique combination of art and film degree from the State University of New York at Purchase, as well as a Certificate in Screenwriting from the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles Professional Program.
Starting his career in the film industry at Reeltime, a low-budget indie horror production company in New York, Cirile worked his way up to writing and co-producing several low-budget horror films. He eventually made the move to Los Angeles, where he secured positions as a production assistant and assistant coordinator on various movies and television shows, including Totally Hidden Video, Delirious, Dutch, How'd They Do That?, Playboy 360, And You Thought Your Parents Were Weird, and many more.
Cirile's early screenwriting endeavors led to a deal with New Sky Pictures, resulting in the script for "Guido," although it was never produced. He went on to secure a multi-picture deal with Cinepix (later acquired by Lionsgate),which yielded three produced action films: Hardball, Bounty Hunters, and Bounty Hunters 2.
In 2002, Cirile founded Coverage Ink, a company dedicated to helping develop thousands of screenplays. He co-wrote and executive produced the award-winning pilot Liberator, starring Lou Ferrigno, Michael Dorn, Peta Wilson, and Ed Asner. Additionally, he co-wrote and is co-executive producing the animated horror feature Malevolent, featuring Morena Baccarin, Ray Wise, and Bill Moseley.
Throughout his career, Cirile has contributed to various publications, including Creative Screenwriting and Script magazines, as well as Weekly World News and Progression magazine. He is also the co-founder of Coverage Ink Films alongside Tanya Klein and the creator of Blackbeard for Men.
