Jessica Woodworth is a multifaceted film director and screenwriter of Belgian-American descent, currently residing in Belgium.
Her extensive filmography includes notable works such as Khadak, Altiplano, La cinquième saison, King of the Belgians, and The Barefoot Emperor, all of which were co-created with Belgian filmmaker Peter Brosens.
These films have been showcased at numerous prestigious festivals worldwide, including Venice, Cannes, Toronto, and Sundance, and have garnered over 70 awards and accolades, including the prestigious Lion of the Future award at the Venice Film Festival for Khadak.
Jessica's latest cinematic endeavour, LUKA, is set to premiere at the Big Screen Competition at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2023.
Born and raised between Europe and the United States, Jessica pursued higher education at Princeton University, where she earned a degree in literature, and later at Stanford University, where she acquired a Master's degree in documentary film.
In 2005, she co-founded the production company Bo Films with Peter Brosens in Belgium, marking the beginning of a successful and enduring partnership.
