Jessica's illustrious career began at the tender age of eight, when she landed the starring role in an epic Persil commercial, filmed in the style of the iconic Indiana Jones franchise, in Spain. This early exposure to the spotlight led to her subsequent appearances in prominent West End productions, including the Sound of Music, Les Misérables, and Oliver!
As she matured as an actress, Jessica's versatility and range were showcased in various television roles. She voiced the ethereal Ghost of Christmas Past in the beloved 1992 film, The Muppet Christmas Carol. Shortly thereafter, her television career gained momentum with featured roles in Angel of Nitshill Road; May and June: Part One (1997); Trial & Retribution IV - Part One (2000); and The Bill (1984). Her breakout performance came as the lead, Anthea, in The Phoenix and the Carpet (1997).
Jessica then cemented her status as the "naughty but nice" Enid Nightshade in three series of the cherished The Worst Witch (1998) and its spin-off, Weirdsister College (2001). In a departure from her usual typecast, she co-starred alongside Sarah Lancashire in the critically acclaimed drama, Back Home (2001),receiving praise from critics for her nuanced portrayal of Rusty Dickinson, alongside esteemed actresses Rosemary Leach and Stephanie Cole.
Since then, Jessica has continued to hone her craft, appearing in guest leads in TV programs such as Powers (2004) and frequent theatre work. She has also transitioned into British soap operas, initially playing Belle Wise in Crossroads (2001) and, as of January 2008, has been portraying the role of Nancy Hayton in the popular soap, Hollyoaks (1995). Jessica made her first appearance on Hollyoaks on July 6th, 2005.
