Jesse James Rice grew up in a small town called Port Townsend, near Seattle, Washington, where he spent his childhood playing soccer and performing in school plays. He developed a strong passion for theater, taking on various roles, including Hamlet and Romeo in the Olympic Shakespeare Festival.
Born as the youngest of six, Jesse has four older brothers and a sister, all of whom are now scattered around the world with their own families. Despite the distance, Jesse remains close to his siblings and cherishes the memories they shared during their childhood.
Jesse's creative side extends beyond acting. He is an avid guitar player and pianist, with a deep love for singing and songwriting. He also enjoys dancing, painting, cooking, and reading, making him a well-rounded individual with a diverse range of interests.
Jesse's acting career is gaining momentum, with upcoming roles in several feature films and short films. In the heist/drama film "The Last Act," directed by Mario Amadieu, Jesse will play a key role alongside other talented actors. He is also set to star in the powerful short film "Change," which tells the story of a young African-American high school student on the day Barack Obama was elected president.
In addition to his film work, Jesse has a strong background in theater. He recently played the lead role in the production of "My Personal Demon," a drama about a man whose arrogance towards his ex-girlfriend comes back to haunt him in the form of a curse. Jesse's performance received rave reviews, with many praising his talent and range.
Jesse has also had the opportunity to work with several prominent theater companies, including the Lounge Theatre and the Crown City Theatre Company. His roles have included "Beethoven" in the production of "Dog Sees God" and understudying the role of Jimmy in "A Prayer for my Daughter."
In the near future, Jesse will be starring in the world premiere of a Libby Larsen opera, "Billy The Kid," in November 2010. He has also been involved in several music projects, including the music video "Letting Go Despite Great Faults" for a Los Angeles band that performed at the South by Southwest Music Festival in 2010.
Most recently, Jesse finished a run as Michael in the world premiere of the award-winning original musical "The Bedroom Window" at the Odyssey Theatre. With his diverse range of talents and experiences, Jesse James Rice is an actor to watch in the years to come.
