Jennifer Sheridan, a director and editor born in South London, discovered her passion for film at the renowned BRIT School. Initially self-taught in editing, she gained recognition in the entertainment industry and scripted comedy, working on notable projects such as The League of Gentlemen, Cuckoo, and Gogglebox.
Known for her innovative storytelling, Jennifer made her directorial debut with The Snow Spider, a CBBC production in 2020. She then directed the critically acclaimed Rules of the Game, a BBC series starring Maxine Peake and Alison Steadman.
Her subsequent work includes two seasons of the Disney+ and Hulu series Extraordinary, which received widespread acclaim, earning a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score and multiple awards, including a Broadcast Digital Award, an RTS Award, a Venice TV Festival Award, and a BAFTA nomination.
Jennifer's feature film debut, Rose - A Love Story, premiered at the 2020 BFI London Film Festival, receiving strong reviews and earning four BIFA long list nominations and the Raindance Discovery Award. The film won Best Feature at the 2021 Barnes Film Festival and Jennifer was nominated for the New Visions Award at Sitges.
She is currently represented by Robert Taylor and Tom Shepherd at The Artists Partnership for Television and features in the UK, and by Zac Frognowski at Brillstein in the US.
