Jennifer Prediger is a multifaceted individual, being a busy indie actress, writer, director, and producer. She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues to work on various projects.
Prediger's acting career began with her role as an out-of-town guest and temptress in the 2011 film "Uncle Kent", directed by Joe Swanberg, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was later purchased by IFC. Since then, she has attended the festival with three other films: "The Foxy Merkins" (2014),"A Teacher" (2013),and "First Girl I Loved" (2016).
Jennifer has also appeared in several other films, including "Red Flag", "Living Room Coffin", "Richard's Wedding", "Applesauce", "Pollywogs", "The Strange Eyes of Dr. Myes", "Uncle Kent 2", "7 Chinese Brothers", "Infinity Baby", and "Frances Ferguson", many of which have premiered at prominent film festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca.
As a writer and director, Prediger made her feature film debut with "Apartment Troubles" (formerly "Trouble Dolls"),a film she co-directed and wrote with Jess Weixler. The film, which stars Prediger and Weixler, features a talented cast including Megan Mullally, Will Forte, and Jeffrey Tambor, and was released by Gravitas in spring 2015 and aired on Showtime.
Prediger has also produced several films, including "Song of Back and Neck", which premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival.
As a journalist, Prediger has written and produced videos for various online publications, including Newsweek.com, Nerve.com, Grist.org, and Washingtonpost.com. She has also been a commentator on NPR's "All Things Considered" and has contributed to The Onion and Onion Radio News.
Prediger has also written and directed several online series, including "Ask Umbra", a web series featuring the world's most trusted eco advice columnist, on Grist.org.
