Jen Plante Johnson is an accomplished American writer, producer, and actress currently residing in Gothenburg, Sweden, having previously been based in Los Angeles. Prior to her relocation, she honed her craft at Columbia University's esteemed MFA Acting program. Throughout her illustrious career, she has had the privilege of appearing in numerous stage productions in both New York and Los Angeles, as well as in several feature films, including Ambush Entertainment's critically acclaimed Answers To Nothing and the cult classic Dead and Breakfast.
Notably, from 2007 to 2011, Jen took on the iconic title role in Dottie's Magic Pockets, a groundbreaking children's show that made history by featuring LGBTQ and non-traditional families. The show garnered a devoted, nationwide grassroots following, with Jen serving as a primary representative at special events and festivals across the country.
Currently, Jen is engaged in writing and producing original content through collaborations with artists in both the United States and Sweden. In 2019, she is producing an offbeat comedy series she penned, titled Happy Kids, which is in development with Cold Iron Pictures. Additionally, Jen is producing the thriller feature Unto The Light, written by Rodney Holland.
