Jeff Speakman, a renowned individual, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, where he showcased his exceptional athletic prowess as an All-American springboard diver in high school. His impressive skills earned him records in his school's district and conference, a remarkable feat achieved without the guidance of a coach. This determination and perseverance ultimately led him to pursue higher education, and after working for six years, he graduated with honors from Missouri State College, earning a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in biology.
Throughout his life, Jeff has demonstrated a profound dedication to the art of martial arts. He holds a 6th-degree black belt in Japanese Goju-Ryu and a 6th-degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate, a testament to his unwavering commitment to mastering these disciplines. Furthermore, he serves as the founder and director of American Kenpo Karate Systems (AAKS),an international organization with over 50 schools, spreading the teachings of Kenpo Karate globally.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the world of martial arts, Jeff was inducted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame in 1993 as "Instructor of the Year." His impressive accolades are a testament to his expertise and dedication to the field.
