Jeff Pilson, a renowned musician, was born in the picturesque town of Lake Forest, Illinois. His life has been a testament to his unwavering dedication to the world of music. In 1983, he received an offer to join the iconic rock band Dokken as the bassist, alongside the illustrious vocalist Don Dokken, guitarist George Lynch, and drummer Mick Brown. This marked the beginning of an illustrious career, as Dokken went on to record a string of successful albums, including Tooth & Nail in 1984, Under Lock and Key in 1985, Back for the Attack in 1987, and Beast from the East in 1988.
After a five-year hiatus, Jeff Pilson continued to pursue his passion for music by playing with various bands and forming his own, War & Peace. In late 1994, Dokken reformed, and the band released a live album/video titled One Live Night in December '94. This was followed by the studio album Dysfunctional in 1995 and Shadowlife in 1997.
Tragedy struck when George Lynch left the band in 1998. However, Dokken quickly regrouped and recruited guitarist Reb Beach from the band Winger. The band's next studio album, Erase the Slate, was released in 1999, followed by the live album/video/DVD Live from the Sun in 2000.
Throughout his illustrious career, Jeff Pilson has remained an integral part of Dokken, and the band continues to rock on to this day, with no signs of slowing down.
