Born and raised on a farm in Northeast Ohio, he developed a strong foundation for his creative pursuits. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from John Carroll University, a prestigious institution that has produced many notable alumni.
In 2003, Jeff made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he pursued his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production at Loyola Marymount University. This marked a significant turning point in his career, as it allowed him to hone his skills and gain valuable experience in the film industry.
During his time at Loyola Marymount, Jeff was prolific, writing, directing, and producing three short films that showcased his versatility and talent. After completing his graduate degree, he landed a job at KCET-PBS and Independent Media, where he worked on a behind-the-scenes project featuring the esteemed Kathryn Bigelow and Uma Thurman.
In 2010, Jeff teamed up with filmmaker Bobby Roe and producer Zack Andrews to form Foreboding Films. The trio's first collaborative project was a documentary about Halloween haunted houses, titled "The Houses October Built." The film was shot on location in Dallas and premiered in 2010. Two years later, Jeff and Foreboding Films remade the film with Fox/New Regency, and it was released in theaters and on VOD in October 2014. The Blu-Ray version of the film is available at Best Buy, featuring the original 2010 documentary that Jeff wrote, co-directed, starred in, and shot.
In addition to his work on "The Houses October Built," Jeff is also developing and writing original horror scripts. He is currently seeking funding for his low-budget, 80's-style horror/comedy, "Grandma," which promises to be a thrilling and entertaining addition to the horror genre.
