Biography

Born in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada, Jeff is a renowned filmmaker, having received numerous awards for his exceptional work in the industry. With a strong educational background, he holds a graduate degree from Queens University and has completed professional film training at the prestigious New York University's Tisch Film School, widely recognized for its rigorous and comprehensive programs.

Growing up, filmmaking has always fascinated Jeff, and he began experimenting with the art form at a young age. When he was just eight years old, his father brought home the JVC Video MovieMaker, one of the first recreational home video cameras. With this innovative device, Jeff created numerous stop-motion short films and small documentaries, laying the foundation for his future career.

As the dot-com bubble burst in 2001, Jeff was hired by an Online Broadcasting Company, where he initially worked on business development. However, his exceptional production skills soon caught the attention of his employers, who asked him to assist with a show. Within a few months, Jeff was directing multi-camera shoots for live concerts, featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry.

Following the collapse of the dot-com industry, Jeff transitioned to the Toronto production scene, working as an assistant director on commercials and independent films. In 2003, he was accepted into a competitive summer program for directors at the esteemed Tisch School in Manhattan, further solidifying his skills and knowledge.

Since 2001, Jeff has completed six well-received short films, including the critically acclaimed "Dogasaur," which has screened internationally, won numerous awards, and is distributed by Ouat! Media. He has also directed a range of nationally broadcast commercial spots and internationally broadcast documentaries.

In April 2009, Jeff directed his first feature-length film, "An Insignificant Harvey," which he also wrote and co-produced. This poignant film follows the journey of Harvey Lippe', a janitor at a quirky small-town ski resort who also happens to be a little person.

Under his company, Vitality Media Productions Inc., established in 2004, Jeff develops a diverse range of television, documentary, and feature film projects.

Throughout his life, Jeff has lived on three continents and traveled extensively, allowing him to draw inspiration from his diverse experiences. In addition to his filmmaking endeavors, he is also a skilled stone sculptor and photographer, showcasing his artistic talents in various mediums.
