J.D. Zeik's original screenplay, Ronin, starring Robert DeNiro, was brought to life on the big screen and released by United Artists in 1998, captivating audiences worldwide and subsequently becoming a cult classic. The film's success extended beyond the cinema, as it also thrived on DVD, solidifying its place in the hearts of movie enthusiasts. Zeik's impressive repertoire also includes writing and executive producing the TNT film production of Witchblade, which served as the foundation for the subsequent Witchblade TV series. In this capacity, he also contributed to the writing and production of the show.
In addition to his work on Witchblade, Zeik collaborated with the talented Michelle Yeoh (Memoirs of a Geisha) on The Touch. His impressive resume also boasts credits for the Steven Seagal film, Pistol Whipped.
