Jaymie John Dornan, a talented individual with a rich heritage, was born in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada, a suburb of Montreal, to Joelle Dornan-Desmarais and John (Jack) Dornan, a businessman. His ancestry is a unique blend of French-Canadian, Scottish, English, and Irish roots. Jaymie has two siblings, Junnifer Small (Dornan) and Markin Dornan.
Growing up, Jaymie's family relocated several times, including a move to Cornwall, Ontario, before the age of two, and again to Suwanee, Georgia, when he was just six years old. A few years later, they settled in upstate New York, where Jaymie began pursuing his passion for acting. He quickly gained experience in various productions, including an Off-Broadway play, "The Wooden Breeks," directed by Trip Cullman, and leading roles in several films, such as "Turn the River" alongside Famke Janssen and "House of Satisfaction."
Jaymie's television appearances are equally impressive, with notable roles in "Law and Order" and a recurring part as Kyle Kessler on the Showtime hit series "Ray Donovan."
However, Jaymie took a break from his acting career to honor a promise made to his late mother, Joelle Dornan-Desmarais, to pursue a higher education. He relocated to Hazel Green, Alabama, to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
Now, Jaymie has returned to his passion for acting and is living in Los Angeles, where he continues to work on his craft and bring his unique talents to the screen.
