Jay R Adams is a native of Detroit who embarked on a professional wrestling career, adopting the persona of Eddie Venom. For twelve years, he wrestled extensively throughout the Midwest and Canada, including televised matches for TNA's Xplosion and WWE SMACKDOWN. During his illustrious career, he had the privilege of grappling with renowned wrestlers such as Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Tito Santana, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, Shane Douglas, Rhyno, Cryme Tyme, Jesse and Festus, Road Warrior Hawk, Buff Bagwell, Rick and Scott Steiner, and numerous others.
Notably, Jay had the distinction of serving as one of the Undertaker's druids on two separate occasions, including a memorable appearance at Wrestlemania. His wrestling prowess was also showcased on television programs such as MTV's Made and Travel Channel's Man Vs Food.
Jay subsequently transitioned into the acting and stunt industries, securing his first major acting role in a national 5 Hour Energy commercial. He then appeared in several local commercials and landed a role in the locally produced film, The Citizen.
In 2014, Jay was cast as a Metropolis police officer in the film Batman V Superman. The following year, he was featured on two separate episodes of the Conan O'Brien show, filmed in Dallas, Texas. Additionally, he played the role of an inmate in the DVD and Blu Ray extra features for the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone film Escape Plan.
Jay subsequently spent two years as a stunt double for actor Ryan Hurst on the WGN America show Outsiders. His impressive resume also includes appearances on Cinemax's Banshee, CBS's Blue Bloods, NBC's Chicago PD, Netflix's The Punisher, Showtime's Ray Donovan, Disney's Christmas Again, Paramount Plus' Tulsa King, Amazon's American Rust, and Apple TV's Sinking Spring.
