Jason, a native of Trail, British Columbia, Canada, a small yet renowned hockey town, spent the majority of his formative years honing his hockey skills at the triple A and Junior levels. As he matured, he redirected his focus towards officiating, eventually securing professional positions within the Western Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League. His impressive on-ice abilities led to opportunities in the film industry, with notable roles in the movies Miracle, starring Kurt Russell, and The Tooth Fairy, featuring Dwayne Johnson.
During his tenure on The Tooth Fairy, a pivotal moment occurred when he found himself sending Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to the penalty box. This experience sparked a long-held desire to pursue acting and writing, and Jason subsequently booked his first audition mere weeks later. He was immediately hooked and dove headfirst into his new creative endeavors.
Within a span of just two years, Jason collaborated with friends to produce, write, and act in the comedy feature Jackhammer, which boasted an impressive cast including Jamie Kennedy, Pamela Anderson, Robb Wells, and Nicole Sullivan. The film premiered in four film festivals, secured distribution with Phase 4 Films (eOne),and is currently available on various platforms, including on demand, Hulu, and iTunes.
In the aftermath of Jackhammer's release, Jason landed a recurring role on ABC's popular television series Once Upon A Time, where he brought the legendary character of Little John to life.
