Jasmin Singer, born on October 30, 1979, in New Brunswick, NJ, is a multifaceted individual who wears many hats - actress, author, and animal rights activist. She has made a significant mark in the literary world with her memoir, Always Too Much and Never Enough, published by Penguin Random House's Berkley in 2016.
In addition to her memoir, Jasmin is set to co-author The VegNews Guide to Being a Fabulous Vegan with VegNews Magazine, which is scheduled for release in 2020 through Hachette Go.
Beyond her writing, Jasmin is the long-standing co-host of the popular Our Hen House podcast and has held the position of Senior Editor at VegNews Magazine. She has also led numerous workshops on veganism at conferences and universities worldwide, presented the thought-provoking Tedx talk "Compassion Unlocks Identity," and embarked on a 60-city book tour.
Jasmin has received various accolades, including being named a "40 Under 40" by The Advocate. Her work has also been featured in documentaries such as Vegucated and The Ghosts In Our Machine, and she has appeared on the Dr. Oz Show.
Jasmin's educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Pace University, which she earned in 2001. She also studied at the University of the Arts School of Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
Throughout her career, Jasmin has performed in various plays in NYC and was a member of Nitestar (STAR) Theater from 2001-2003, where she was actively involved in AIDS-awareness initiatives as an actor/educator.
In her upcoming film short, The Bra Mitzvah, Jasmin stars as Jen, a character written and directed by Stacy Jill Calvert.
Jasmin currently resides between Los Angeles and Brooklyn.
