Jared Douglas is a multifaceted creative force, serving as a director, producer, writer, and founder of the esteemed JDG Entertainment.
As a youngster, Jared's fascination with cinema began to take shape as he watched movies alongside his father and older brother, sparking a desire to one day become a director in his own right. With his father's camcorder, Jared would often sneak off to create short films with his friends, nurturing his passion for filmmaking.
By the time Jared reached the age of 16, he had already set his sights on Los Angeles, where he enrolled in graduate-level classes at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. He later went on to study at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he had the opportunity to assist on several award-winning films, including 'Sicario' and 'Demolition', under the guidance of renowned directors Jean-Marc Vallee and Denis Villeneuve.
Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Film & Television and a minor in The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology, Jared set his sights on launching his own production company, JDG Entertainment, in 2016. His inaugural feature film, The Sound of The Wind, premiered in Virtual Cinemas during the COVID-19 pandemic and received widespread critical acclaim as a standout dramatic thriller.
Today, Jared continues to direct and produce through JDG Entertainment, with his next feature film currently in pre-production.
