Jared Michael Delaney is a multifaceted artist, exceling as both a playwright and an actor, with his creative endeavors rooted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As an accomplished actor, Delaney has graced numerous stages, including off-Broadway's 59e59, as well as regional theaters such as the Folger Theater, Arden Theatre Company, Philadelphia Theatre Company, Sierra Rep. Company, PA Shakespeare Festival, River Valley Rep, Walnut St Theatre, Lantern Theatre, Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, New Jersey Rep. Company, Theatre at Monmouth, and Azuka Theatre, among many others.
Delaney's extensive film credits include Kinderwald, A Man of No Importance, Head Space, and various commercials and industrials.
As a playwright, Delaney's full-length play, The Hand of Gaul, was produced in 2013 by Inis Nua Theatre, and his play Noli Timere (Don't Be Afraid) premiered in 2017 at Theatre Conspiracy.
Delaney's works have been featured in numerous readings, including Paint It Black, You Devil, Strange Sun Theatre; Child of Lions, HRC Showcase Theatre; Honorable Mention, New Works of Merit; The Cannibal of Ajax, Best Medicine Rep; Voyager One, New Jersey Repertory Company; and Falstaff & the Endless Machine, semi-finalist for the inaugural Shakespeare's New Contemporaries competition.
Delaney's short play, Fortune's Fool, was selected for New Jersey Repertory Company's Theatre Brut Festival and will be published in a related anthology next fall.
Delaney holds a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Villanova University and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Stage/Screenwriting from Queens University of Charlotte. He is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association and the Dramatists' Guild.
