JQ made his Off Broadway debut as DJ/Composer for the highly acclaimed Shakespearean adaptation, The Bomb-itty of Errors, showcasing his exceptional skills behind the turntables.
In collaboration with his brother GQ, JQ co-created, co-directed, composed, and starred in the original productions of A Q Brothers Christmas Carol, Othello: The Remix, and Funk It Up About Nothin', solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted creative force.
As a co-writer and star of the hip-hop/sketch comedy TV show Scratch and Burn on MTV, JQ brought his unique perspective to the small screen.
For his brother's film Just Another Story, which premiered on Showtime, JQ composed the score and original soundtrack, further demonstrating his versatility as a composer.
JQ has also produced several notable albums under his moniker J.A.Q., including Foul Mouth Poet, as well as albums for other artists such as Smashing by The Grommits, The Good Thief by Postell, Go Strong And Call It Awesome! by Stop, Revolt, and The Feel Good Album Of The Year by Q Brothers.
In addition to his musical endeavors, JQ was the lead singer of the Chicago-based rock band Them vs. Them and currently co-hosts Smallflower TV, a video blog focused on natural health and body care, alongside his oldest brother TQ.
