Janina Faye is a former child actress, popular during the 1950s and 1960s, who was born in England to a Polish expatriate father. Born Janina Faye Smigielski on February 17, 1948, in Hammersmith, West London, she was the daughter of Jan Smigielski, a Polish pilot who served in the Royal Air Force during World War II.
