Jan Russell Stine was born on April 29, 1938, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, to Jan J. N. Stine and Bernardine Anne Bowers. His father, a spray painter turned plant foreman, and his mother, a glove inspector, instilled in him a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
As a student at Fort Wayne Central High School, Jan discovered his passion for acting, participating in numerous high school plays and eventually becoming the leader of the local affiliate of The National Thespian Society. This early exposure sparked a lifelong love for the craft.
Following high school, Jan relocated to California, where he trained at the prestigious Pasadena Playhouse as an actor. His impressive resume boasts over thirty film and television credits, including notable roles in "The Donna Reed Show" (1958),"Wise Use of Credit" (1960),"Claudelle Inglish" (1961),and "Munroe" (1963).
Jan's acting career spanned several decades, with his final performances as Timmy and Runt in two episodes of the television series "Hank" (1966). After hanging up his acting hat, Jan pursued a Master of Arts degree and transitioned into a teaching career, eventually becoming an administrator at a nursing home and rehabilitation center.
Sadly, Jan Russell Stine passed away on November 13, 2010, in La Verne, California, USA, due to complications caused by throat cancer.
