Noted Scottish native, Jan, embarked on a life-altering journey with his family, relocating from Glasgow to Winnipeg, Canada, where his earliest forays into the performing arts began to take shape. A standout in grade school, Jan secured the coveted role of Ebenezer Scrooge in a production of 'A Christmas Carol', foreshadowing a lifelong passion for the craft.
After completing his Physical Education degree at university, Jan's interest in the performing arts only intensified, leading him to enroll in the Theatre and Drama program at the University of Winnipeg. However, life's unforeseen twists and turns often have a way of diverting even the most promising paths.
Fast-forward to 2001, when Jan made the bold decision to relocate to Vancouver, a move that would ultimately lead him to discover his true calling. Enrolling in voice and acting classes, he soon signed with his first agent and, within a remarkably short span of time, secured his first commercial booking, followed swiftly by his first principal role in the esteemed science fiction series, Stargate SG-1.
Jan's impressive resume boasts an array of notable credits, including memorable appearances in Fargo (Season 5),A Million Little Things, and Resident Alien, among others, cementing his status as a talented and versatile performer.
