Notable British-Caribbean director and filmmaker, Jamie, embarked on a remarkable journey in the world of theater and film. Upon graduating from university with a degree in Theater, he further honed his skills in filmmaking in his early twenties. By the time he reached his late twenties, Jamie had already made significant contributions to various projects and had successfully directed his debut feature film, Foxtrap, in 2016.
The production company that commissioned Foxtrap invited Jamie to direct two more feature films, Darker Shades of Elise and Mandy the Haunted Doll, in 2017 and 2018, respectively. However, Jamie's experience with these productions was marred by poor producing practices, leading him to reassess his career trajectory.
Undeterred, Jamie decided to take matters into his own hands by writing, producing, and directing his own work. The outcome was his debut film, WINGS, which premiered in 2020 and went on to be showcased in over 20 film festivals worldwide, garnering an impressive 12 awards.
