Jamie Donnelly is a renowned actress, best known for her iconic roles in two significant 20th-century cultural events: the original "Rocky Horror Show" and "Grease". Born and raised in New Jersey, Jamie could see the glittering New York City skyline across the river. She began her career by performing in summer stock musicals before landing on Broadway at the age of seventeen in Kander and Ebb's "Flora, The Red Menace". She understudied Liza Minnelli's Tony award-winning title role and originated the character of Lulu.
Jamie's impressive Broadway credits include "George M" at the Palace opposite Joel Grey and "Rodgers and Hart" at the Helen Hayes Theatre, where she was taught "Falling in Love with Love" by Richard Rodgers. She also worked off-Broadway in the original company of "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" and in regional theatre for "Hot L Baltimore", overseen by playwright Lanford Wilson.
In addition to her stage work, Jamie has appeared in soap opera, television series, and movies. She had a recurring role as Dusty Maguire on "The Guiding Light" and guest-starred on "Policewoman" and "Barnaby Jones". She also starred in television movies, including "The Dream Makers" alongside James Franciscus.
In her personal life, Jamie spent years on a ranch in Montana, riding horses and writing screenplays for Hollywood. She is married to novelist Stephen H. Foreman and has two children, Sevi and Madden, who are both young musicians. Jamie has also become a beloved acting coach for some of the best actors and actresses in Hollywood.
Jamie is set to appear in the upcoming Fox Searchlight feature "The Untitled Duplass Brothers Film", as well as in guest starring roles on "Monk", "The Naked Brothers Band", and "The Legend of Lucy Keyes". Interestingly, her blood type is B Positive.
