Jim, the nephew of Patrik Baldauff, a long-standing member of the esteemed Actors' Studio, embarked on his professional theatre career as the bellhop in the 1974 production of "Three On A Honeymoon" at the Beverly Dinner Theatre in New Orleans.
In 1984, he relocated to New York City to hone his craft under the tutelage of Sanford Meisner at the renowned Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre.
Throughout his career, Jim has predominantly worked in the realm of stage acting, earning widespread acclaim for his performances as Earl in Sam Shepard's "The Late Henry Moss" and as the titular character in Richard Vetere's "Machiavelli", both of which received glowing reviews in The New York Times.
Additionally, Jim has made a mark in the world of film, featuring in Paul Schneider's "Pretty Bird", a Sundance Festival selection, alongside notable actors Billy Crudup and Paul Giamatti.
Jim recently reprised his role as Major Steve Arnold, a character he first portrayed 18 years prior, in Ronald Harwood's "Taking Sides", and also took on the role of Henry McCoy in Monica Woods' "Papermaker" at the Chenango River Theatre in Greene, New York.
Furthermore, Jim's talents extend to the realm of podcasting, where he lends his voice as Harrison in Mac Rogers' "Steal The Stars", a production of Gideon Media.
