At the tender age of eighteen, James landed his first paying job as a layout artist in television animation, marking the beginning of his illustrious career.
In the year 2004, James took the initiative to establish Atlantis Studios, a graphic arts studio with a specialization in adapting film properties into graphic novel format.
Throughout his career, James has worked as the lead editor for an impressive array of over 200 comics and graphic novels, many of which were licensed film and television properties. Among his notable projects was the official graphic novel adaptation of The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, a project commissioned by Dean Devlin and Electric Entertainment.
In 2006, James launched a highly successful original series, 'The Adventures of Paula Peril', which was subsequently adapted into a series of short films. These films included 'Mystery of the Crystal Falcon', 'The Invisible Evil', 'Midnight Whistle', 'The Serpent Cult', and 'The Hidden City'. Notably, three of these films were edited together to form an anthology feature, which is now available on multiple streaming platforms.
James's childhood passion for science fiction and family-friendly adventure films has been a significant inspiration throughout his career. He has adapted story ideas from his teenage years into a critically acclaimed graphic novel series, 'The Star Runner Chronicles'. The first book in this series has been adapted into a feature film screenplay and is currently in development for release as a feature film.
