James McCauley, a classically trained actor, has made a name for himself through his remarkable versatility in both dramatic and comedic roles. His journey in the world of acting began when he was a senior at Brookfield High School in Connecticut, where he discovered his passion for the craft in a production of Arsenic and Old Lace. This was the moment when his passion for acting was ignited, and he was hooked. He went on to pursue his dreams and was accepted into the prestigious BFA program at SUNY at Purchase, an alma mater of renowned actors such as Edie Falco, Wesley Snipes, and Stanley Tucci.
After completing his studies, James made the move to New York City, where he quickly landed numerous roles in television shows and films. In 2001, he received the opportunity to work on his first pilot, My Adventures in Television, starring alongside John Cleese, Ed Begley Jr., and Sherri Shepherd. This experience marked a significant milestone in his career, and he continued to work tirelessly to hone his craft.
James McCauley is widely recognized for his iconic role as "Captain Cook-Off," also known as Leonard Stevenson, in the popular Disney Channel series That's So Raven, Cory in the House, and Raven's Home. His most recent role was that of Matt Meyers in the WGN America series Outsiders, reuniting him with Peter Tolan, the creator of his first pilot.
In his personal life, James is married to actor/writer/teacher Jacqui Malouf, and they have two daughters together. The family resides in Los Angeles, where James continues to pursue his passion for acting.
