Born in Louisville, Kentucky, with a heritage of Irish and Scandinavian roots, actor Paul Michael Horan's passion for acting was ignited during his time at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. At the tender age of 19, he made his stage debut as the Marquis de Sade in "Marat/Sade", a performance he describes as a "baptism by fire". That same year, he also portrayed Stanley in a production of "A Streetcar Named Desire", impressing an elderly gentleman so much that he exclaimed, "He had nothing on you". Throughout his college years, Horan continued to hone his craft, taking on numerous roles in various plays.
After completing his master of fine arts degree in acting from the University of Iowa, Horan transitioned to daytime television, securing roles on ABC shows such as "General Hospital", "All My Children", and "Loving", among others. He has since become a familiar face on prime-time television, making guest appearances on various shows, including the "Star Trek" series, where he played five distinct characters, four of which were aliens. His recurring role on "Enterprise" was a highlight of his television work.
Horan's impressive filmography boasts supporting roles alongside Clint Eastwood in "Flags on Our Fathers" and "The Changeling". His rich, baritone voice has also made him a sought-after talent in the world of voiceover, with credits in over 80 video games and animations. Most recently, he lent his voice to the character of Wheeljack in the animated series "Transformers Prime" on the HUB.
