Jacques Leduc

Born in the vibrant city of Montreal, situated in the province of Québec, Canada, a country known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty. This individual's educational background is rooted in classical studies, providing a solid foundation for their future endeavors. In their pursuit of knowledge and skills, they became involved in the cine-clubs circle of Montreal, a hub for film enthusiasts and aficionados. It was during this time that they honed their understanding of cinema by writing reviews for the periodical 'Objectif', a prominent publication in the film industry. As their experience and expertise grew, they were eventually engaged by the Office national du film du Canada in 1962, initially taking on the role of assistant-operator. Over time, they progressed to become a full-fledged cinematographer, working on three notable projects under the direction of Jean-Pierre Lefebvre. This remarkable individual made their directorial debut in 1967 with a middle-length film titled 'Chantal en vrac', marking the beginning of a successful and illustrious career in the world of cinema.
