Jacqueline Murphy is an award-winning actress, director, and filmmaker. She is best known for her work on the series "The Admired" (2017),which she starred in, created, produced, directed, and co-wrote. The show has won over 50 film festival awards, including 12 Awards for Best Short Film, 7 for Best Lead Actress, 4 Best Original Screenplay, 2 Best Directing, and 2 Best New TV Series and Web Series.
Murphy's career in television began as a host for Entertainment Today (1992),where she interviewed celebrities on the red carpet. She later launched her own show, Entertainment with Jacqueline Murphy (2024).
Murphy has been recognized for her outstanding work in filmmaking, earning her the title of "Power Woman" by the New York State Assembly and Schneps Media for two consecutive years (2023 & 2024). She has also been honored with multiple Emmy nominations for her work on "The Admired" and "Pepito's Mamadas" (2022).
In addition to her work in television and film, Murphy has a background in medicine, holding a Registered Nurse license and having studied at AADA and Stella Adler. She has worked as a nurse on several television shows and films, including "All My Children" and "Guiding Light".
