Jack Fessenden, a highly acclaimed independent filmmaker, made his feature film debut with Stray Bullets during his sophomore year in high school. This remarkable achievement was recognized by Indiewire, who included him in their list of "11 Great Indie Filmmakers 30 and Under You Need To Know" in 2017.
Stray Bullets received a 12-city theatrical release through Screen Media Films and was praised by the Hollywood Reporter as a "strikingly impressive...blazingly confident debut". This early success set the stage for his future endeavors.
Fessenden's second feature film, Foxhole, was released in 2021 and received widespread critical acclaim. The film was hailed by Josh Siegel of MoMA as achieving "an almost abstract beauty". Foxhole also won the prestigious 'Best Ultra Indie' award at the Woodstock Film Festival. The film was distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films, with a limited theatrical run at the IFC Center in New York and the Laemmle Music Hall in LA. Global distribution was handled by Bleiberg Entertainment.
Both Stray Bullets and Foxhole are currently available to stream. In addition to his work in filmmaking, Fessenden is also the lead guitarist for the indie rock band Dinoboy.
