Dixon is a multifaceted individual, boasting a wide range of talents and accomplishments. As an actor, he is a member of the prestigious SAG/AFTRA union and has performed in numerous local and New York City stages, TV commercials, and over thirty films. His acting credits include a variety of memorable characters, each with their own unique struggles and inner turmoil.
As a writer, Dixon has published an experimental memoir under the pseudonym James Patrick, titled "There's a Person in Here". The book received praise from Kirkus Reviews, which described it as "A moving account of the profound moments in one man's life". Dixon is also the creator and writer of two online ventures: The Perception Tapes, which offers fictionalized "lost/rediscovered" audio tapes that challenge a listener's belief system, and Feature Film Treatments, where he offers a variety of feature film treatments for option or purchase.
In addition to his creative pursuits, Dixon is a seasoned film advisor and producer. He has worked on numerous projects, including Lodge Kerrigan's groundbreaking first feature, "clean, shaven", and is currently Executive Producer for Resentment (Obraza),by award-winning writer/director Gleb Osatinski. His production credits also include Michael Perrone's award-winning second feature, "The Man Behind the Camera", and several other notable films.
Throughout his life, Dixon has faced numerous challenges, including surviving colon and pancreatic cancer, being married twice and divorced once, and being the father of four children (three of whom survive).
