Izzy Martinez's creative journey began as a semi-professional Salsa dancer and instructor, but it wasn't until the turn of the century that his dancing career truly took off. Meeting talented dancers from Puerto Rico, New York, and Los Angeles led him down a path of passion and pursuit.
Martinez's dancing career flourished as he helped choreograph and performed with various local dance groups in Phoenix. It was in late 2000 that he met Rene Delgadillo, a renowned dance company from Las Vegas, and joined the group, performing in Arizona, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
In a sudden and unexpected turn of events, Martinez packed his belongings and relocated to Miami, Florida, seeking a change of pace. Little did he know that this move would spark a new passion - acting. Having always been drawn to theater, the allure of film and television convinced him to take the leap.
Martinez enrolled in acting classes at The Actors Studio, coached by the esteemed Sherry Faith in North Miami, Florida. He learned the method acting style under Faith's guidance and continued to hone his craft through classes and workshops with the Miami Acting Studio, led by Ralph Kinnard.
He also received coaching from Daniel Urdanivia and collaborated with the Sociedad Actoral Hispanoamericana, a group of musical theater actors. For several years, Martinez worked with the Havana Fama Theatre Company.
Recently, Martinez relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career with unwavering dedication. He joined the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts, founded by Carmen Zapata and Margarita Galban, and took on leading roles in many of their productions.
