Ivan Savov, a renowned actor and director, was born on February 8, 1956, in Sofia, Bulgaria. He is a graduate of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria, where he earned a degree in acting under the guidance of Professor Nikolay Lyutskanov and his assistant Margarita Mladenova, in the class of 1982.
Following his graduation, Ivan Savov joined the troupe of Dimitrovgrad Theater, where he showcased his acting skills in notable productions such as "Pygmalion" by George Bernard Shaw, directed by Georgi Djulgerov, and "Romeo and Juliet" by Shakespeare, directed by Margarita Mladenova, in which he portrayed the iconic character of Romeo.
He later moved to Haskovo Theater, which was at the peak of its success during the tenure of Ivan Dobchev. In 2010, Ivan Savov made a successful transition to directing, helming the production of "Woman on Us" by Alexei Slapovski.
In 2011, he focused on working with young actors in his production of "Marriage" by Gogol, and two years later, he brought to life the play "Hairdresser" by Sergey Medvedev, featuring a talented cast including Kristina Yaneva, Valeri Yordanov, and Plamen Sirakov.
Throughout his career, Ivan Savov has contributed to numerous Bulgarian films, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and accomplished actor and director.
