Biography

Iskander Galiev was born on August 28, 1969, in the city of Nizhnekamsk, situated in the Republic of Tatarstan. He spent his formative years during a tumultuous period in world history, marked by the Soviet-Afghan War. Galiev's early life was forever changed when he served in the legendary 345th regiment of the 9 Company in Afghanistan from 1987 to 1989. His bravery and courage during this time earned him the esteemed "For Courage" medal.

Following his military service, Galiev pursued higher education, graduating from the Institute of Modern Business in Moscow in the year 2000. He continued his academic journey, graduating from the graduate school of the Russian Academy of State services under the President of the Russian Federation in 2009.

Galiev's professional career has been marked by a series of notable achievements. Since 2005, he has held the position of Deputy General Director of International Vnukovo Airport, as well as serving as a member of the Board of Directors for ZAO Fuel-Refueling Complex and OJSC "Vnukovo-Invest". He has also held various leadership roles within the Interregional Public Organization "Union veterans of the war in Afghanistan" AFGHAN VET, including Vice-President, and has been a member of the Russian Council Afghanistan Veterans Union and the Executive Committee of the All-Russian Public organization "Battle Brotherhood".

Galiev's creative endeavors have also been prolific, with a long list of credits to his name. He was the screenwriter and general producer of the documentary "345 Regiment" in 2002, and went on to work on the film story by "9 Company" in 2005, serving as the author of the idea, line producer, and military consultant. He has also been involved in the production of several other films, including "Paragraph 78" in 2007, "The Way" in 2009, and the Russian-American documentary "Battle Brotherhood" in 2013.

In addition to his work in the film industry, Galiev has been involved in the production of a number of television series and documentaries, including "Badaber Fortress". He has also been a driving force behind the movement "First International Veterans' March "Battle Brotherhood", serving as the author of the idea and general producer.
