Isha Sharwani is a 20-year-old dancer who resides at an ashram in Kerala, India. With a diverse range of skills, she is trained in various forms of dance, including gymnastics, martial arts, yoga, ballet, kathak, and aerial dance, among others. Her journey in dance began at the tender age of seven, and in the span of seven years, she has already performed in an impressive 22 countries.
Born to a mother of Indian origin, Daksha Seth, a professional dancer, and an Australian father, Vissaro, a composer, Isha's name is a unique blend of her mother's and aunt's suggestions. "Isha" means goddess, and "Sharwani" is a nod to Goddess Parvati, making her a fitting name for a dancer of her caliber. Initially, Isha aspired to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, but her compassion for animals led her to reevaluate her profession. She received an email from Subhash Ghai's office, seeking an actress with a background in dance, to feature in Bollywood films. Following a visit to Bombay with her mother, Isha was signed as the female lead in Kisna: The Warrior Poet (2005),opposite Vivek Oberoi, a year later. Notably, there are already two other actresses in Bollywood with the same name, Isha Koppikar and Esha Deol.
