Iran Castillo was born in the picturesque state of Veracruz, Mexico, to Martha Pinzón and Carlos Castillo, a family that would play a significant role in shaping her future endeavors.
From a very young age, Iran began her journey in the entertainment industry as a model, landing commercials and slowly making a name for herself. As she grew older, she transitioned into acting, and it was her role as Cecilia in the 1994 television series "Agujetas de Color de Rosa" that truly catapulted her to fame.
In addition to her acting career, Iran also pursued a passion for music, becoming a part of the popular girl band "Mosquitas Muertas" in 1991. She later released her solo debut album "Tiempos Nuevos" under Sony Music Mexico in 1997, which featured the top ten hit single "Yo por él".
Iran's acting career continued to flourish, with notable roles in telenovelas such as "Soñadoras", "Preciosa", "Clase 406", and most recently, "S.O.S. Me estoy enamorando". Her impressive performances earned her nominations for best actress at the MTV Movie Awards México for "El Tigre de Santa Julia" (2003) and the Premios Ariel for "Victorio" (2012).
