IngeRademeyer is a rare breed of actress who has defied convention by transitioning from behind the camera to in front of it, a feat that few of her peers have achieved.
Born in South Africa, Rademeyer relocated to New Zealand with her family at the tender age of 15, where she would go on to pursue a passion for the performing arts. Her academic journey took her to Auckland University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film, TV & Media Studies and Theatre & Drama Studies, securing a scholarship in acting along the way.
Simultaneously, Rademeyer honed her craft as a contemporary dancer with BlackGrace's youth dance company, a role she filled for an impressive four-year period. Following her university studies, she furthered her acting skills by studying Meisner part-time, all while finding opportunities to act in various short films.
Rademeyer's big-screen debut arrived in the form of Good for Nothing, a milestone that marked the culmination of her hard work and dedication. But it was her subsequent seven-year tenure at Academy Award-winning visual effects studio Weta Digital that truly provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the filmmaking process.
With this wealth of knowledge and experience at her disposal, it was only natural that Rademeyer would choose to combine her skills in film production and performance in her debut-acting role in Good for Nothing, a testament to her unique blend of creativity and technical expertise.
