Iñaki Gabilondo

José Ignacio Gabilondo Pujol, professionally known as Iñaki Gabilondo, came into this world on October 19, 1942, in the beautiful city of San Sebastián, where he would later become a prominent figure in the world of Spanish journalism. As the second of nine siblings, Gabilondo's early life was marked by a strong sense of family and camaraderie. His journey in the world of journalism began when he was just 21 years old, starting at Radio Popular (COPE) and quickly making a name for himself. Six years later, he would rise through the ranks to become the director of the San Sebastián delegation, demonstrating his exceptional leadership skills and dedication to his craft. In 1980, he was appointed as the news director of the SER network, where he would go on to achieve his greatest success. During his tenure, he would earn an impressive six Wave awards and his morning program, "Hoy por Hoy," would become the most popular in Spanish history, with an audience that would captivate the hearts of millions.
