Íce Mrozek is a multi-talented individual who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as an actor, writer, director, and producer. As the co-founder and chief storyteller of Anam Cara Films, he has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects.
Born on May 6th in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Íce is of Irish, Polish, Mexican, and Black ancestry. Growing up, he was surrounded by the arts and discovered his love for the theatre in high school. His father's passion for filming home movies also had a significant influence on his early interests.
Over the course of his career, Íce has worked professionally on stage for over 25 years, creating dynamic roles in productions ranging from William Shakespeare to David Mamet. He has studied acting at several prestigious institutions, including KD Studio Conservatory in Dallas, Ted Liss Acting Studio in Chicago, and with the legendary acting teacher Uta Hagen in New York.
Íce is also the founder of IL Teatro and The American Theatre Company, and has worked tirelessly to promote the arts and provide opportunities for dedicated actors to hone their craft. His feature film directorial debut, "About him & her," has been praised for its innovative concept and unique approach to storytelling.
In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Íce has also dedicated himself to helping others. He founded The Company of Actors, an outlet for dedicated actors to develop their skills, and has become one of the most respected acting coaches in Los Angeles. He has also designed programs to help individuals with physical and intellectual differences express themselves through acting and filmmaking.
To give back to the community, Íce created The Benevolence Society in 2001, which was renamed The Inspiring Creatives in 2021. This organization aims to empower special needs and underprivileged children to believe in themselves and their abilities. Íce believes that these individuals have a unique perspective and freedom of imagination that can be harnessed to create great art.
Despite being diagnosed with severe dyslexia in acting school, Íce has not let this challenge hold him back. He is currently developing a limited series and is in pre-production for his second feature film. With his passion for storytelling and his commitment to helping others, Íce is sure to continue making a lasting impact in the entertainment industry and beyond.
