Person Biography:
Born with a passion for the arts, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery, enrolling at the prestigious Superior Institute of Arts of Havana, where he honed his skills and refined his craft. His thirst for knowledge and experience soon led him to the esteemed National Theater of Chaillot School in Paris, where he furthered his education and expanded his artistic horizons.
In 2007, he took the bold step of founding his own production company, Artepepan Films, which would become a platform for his creative expression and a vessel for his artistic vision. His dedication and talent did not go unnoticed, as he was selected as a finalist for the Mont Blanc Young Talent Award, a prestigious honor that recognized his potential and promise.
In 2008, he was handpicked by European Nisimasa to direct a short film in Turkey, a challenging and enriching experience that allowed him to explore new cultures and artistic styles. The following year, he was chosen to participate in the Binger Film Lab in Amsterdam, a highly competitive program that recognized his unique voice and artistic perspective.
In 2010, he was awarded the Beaumarchais Fund Prize for Scriptwriting, a testament to his exceptional writing skills and his ability to craft compelling stories. His talent and dedication were once again recognized when he was selected to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus 2011, a prestigious program that brought together some of the most talented and innovative filmmakers from around the world.
